Notice:Channel Status: Open - Fog

Pilot Service: Suspended - Pilot service suspended this morning Nov. 29th at 0130 hrs due to fog and remains suspended at this time. Following received from pilot office:

"According to the National Weather Services the current offshore conditions are not anticipated to improve until the front passes which will be tomorrow evening. We will keep everyone informed as we monitor the weather conditions and we will let you know as soon as we are able to move traffic, along with a traffic plan."

Offshore and Coastal Forecast:

Synopsis: Areas of sea fog will develop again tonight before a front approaches the area on Saturday. The front will bring a chance of showers and strong thunderstorms late Saturday and Saturday night.Moderate offshore flow will develop behind the front on Sunday. High pressure will further build over the area on Monday and Tuesday.

Tonight
South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Patchy fog in the evening. Areas of fog after midnight.
Saturday
South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Saturday Night
West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then slight chance of rain showers after midnight.
Sunday
Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Sunday Night
Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Monday
North winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Monday Night
Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 1 foot or less.
Tuesday
Southeast winds up to 5 knots becoming southwest in the afternoon. Seas 1 foot or less.

West winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 1 foot or less.

North winds around 5 knots becoming east in the afternoon. Seas 1 foot or less.

* Maximum draft for CITGO "D" Dock Lake Charles is 36'00" FW.
(-36'00" MLLW) effective Sept. 27, 2019.
* Maximum draft for CITGO CLIFTON RIDGE Lake Charles is 38'06" FW.
(-38'06" MLLW) effective Oct. 16, 2019.

-Phillips 66 Refinery Dock #3 max depth is 42.0 FEET MLLW BW.

Traffic Notice:

-Air Draft Notice Beginning January 15th -
Stakeholders, Please be advised, due to the repairs of I-210 BRIDGE, commencing in January, there will be a recommended maximum Air Draft of 133 ft. for all vessels transiting through the Bridge. Kiewt Construction plans to install a work platform, called a Seaspan, under the present bridge girder, which will reduce the available Air Draft for all vessels. The recommended air draft is based on a 1.8 ft. tide level at NOAA ports gauge located at Bulk terminal No. 1.
