Offshore and Coastal Forecast:
Synopsis: A large high pressure system off the southeastern U.S. will maintain light to modest east to southeast flow today into Saturday. Southeasterly flow will then increase Sunday into Monday as low pressure forms over the Rockies and moves into the Plains. Isolated shower activity today will become more numerous over the weekend. The forecast for Tuesday and beyond may depend on a disturbance that is forecast to enter the southern Gulf on Tuesday morning. Marine interests should monitor the latest tropical weather outlooks over the holiday weekend from the National Hurricane Center for more information.
