Offshore and Coastal Forecast:
Synopsis: Light to moderate onshore flow is expected through the week as high pressure at the surface ridges across the northern Gulf coast. A few showers and thunderstorms will also be possible each day. By this weekend, an easterly wave is expected to enter the southwestern Gulf of Mexico and this has some potential to develop into a tropical cyclone over the next several days. Please refer to the latest NHC products. Regardless of development, increased winds and seas can be expected late week into the weekend.
