Offshore and Coastal Forecast:
Synopsis: Winds will gradually shift to a southerly direction into the weekend as the high pushes past the area. The chance for showers and thunderstorms returns for the weekend, first as an upper-level disturbance passes, then as a cold front sweeps through the area. Behind this front, another round of elevated northerly winds can be expected.

East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Tonight
Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 1 to 2 feet.
Friday
South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet. Scattered sprinkles.
Friday Night
South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Slight chance of showers in the evening, then chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight.
Saturday
South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Saturday Night
Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening.
Sunday
Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet. Chance of showers in the morning, then slight chance of showers in the afternoon.

Turning Basin/A4 Anchor Area:
Following received from Lake Charles Pilots on Feb. 6th at 1221 hrs:
After reviewing the recent soundings of A/4, the limiting draft for vessels bunkering in A/4 will now be 35' (35 ft.) freshwater.  Vessels
turning in A/4 Anchorage may do so with full draft 40' (forty ft.).  This limit is effective immediately.   
Dredging in A/4 will begin shortly.  While A/4 is being dredged, it may not be used for vessels bunkering.
When the arrival date of the dredge is known, it will be communicated as quickly as possible.
